DAY 4 of 30 Days to a High Performing Website
IT’S ALL IN THE FOOTER – User Experience Essential
Who’d have thought that the very bottom of the page is one of the most important parts of a website? In fact, the website footer contributes significantly to the credibility, functionality and whole user experience.
With the sheer volume of people browsing on their mobile devices; adding the menu items, map and contact details have become increasingly more important to prevent visitors from having to scroll back up to the top of the page to get to the information they want.
So what should be in your DEEP footer? At least:
- Links to each web page
- Contact details; phone, e-mail and address
- Social media icons
- Google map showing location of premises or service area
- Logos of accreditations or awards
- Your business logo, ABN and copyright date
